Part of the reason for getting the custom hubs also revolves around Theo's choice for braking hardware. Behind the 18x9-inch and 18x10-inch Advan RG rims (front and rear, respectively) lies a set of Strange's carbon brake rotors and calipers. Just about the ultimate in race bling, they're normally found on Top Fuel drag machines and are worth around $9000. Able to stop the 9000hp, four-second, 600km/h Top Fuellers from 400km/h in 200m, they're super light and have an important role in improving the rotating mass of the car, as every kilo of rotating mass is worth four kilos to the chassis.

One of the benefits to doing it this way is that they were able to paint the whole car, inside, outside, top and bottom in the distinctive R34 GT-R Bayside Blue, including that sexy custom integral roll cage built by Zagari Engineering with 4130-quality pipework to suit both CAMS and ANDRA regulations. With the 40L fuel cell in the rear full to the brim, Theo's blue flier tips the scales at a waif-like 1068kg, though when you look at the interior accruements it isn't hard to see where so much weight was saved.

While all this sounds like a dream list for ever-lasting competition-smashing drag happiness, Theo just wants to run a number, then re-tune the car for circuit work. What's the goal? Well, once the methanol is all set up, Theo's figuring that a 1.63 60ft time is possible, which should be good enough for an 8.6 second quarter. That first 18m is crucial to getting a cracking time, but with all the goodies packed into this iridescent hell wagon, we don't doubt for a second that it'll crack that eight second barrier wide open.

Inspired by MUGEN Euro’s high-performance Type R, the MUGEN 200 is fitted with unique body parts, wheels and badges to give it stand-out looks. As its name suggests, only 200 of the special Type R models will be made.

On top of the standard features of the Swindon-built Type R (which of course, include Honda’s 201PS, screaming i-VTEC engine) the MUGEN 200 will boast the following:

* Exclusive MUGEN front and rear bumpers with skirts
* 19-inch alloy wheels in ‘Lightning’ design
* MUGEN rear badge
* MUGEN Limited Edition number plaque
* Limited Slip Differential
* Championship White exterior paint
* Gloss black door mirrors

A range of tuning parts, to further enhance the chassis dynamics of the Type R, will also be available as dealer fit options.

The order bank for the MUGEN 200 opens in March, when prices will also be announced.

This limited edition Type R continues the association between Honda (UK) and MUGEN Euro – the Northampton-based subsidiary of Honda’s long standing tuning partner MUGEN. Last year, MUGEN used its 36 years of experience and engineering expertise gained at the forefront of global motorsport, to further develop the Type R, and create the Civic Type R MUGEN of which just 20 units will be made. For more information, visit www.typermugen.com

Original MUGEN tuning parts available
From April, a network of Honda dealers will also offer an exclusive range of original MUGEN tuning parts for Type R owners to use to modify their own cars – both used and new. These parts will be available to buy from a number of selected dealers across the UK, and will offer a range of tuning and cosmetic parts, including sports suspension upgrades, lightweight wheels and interior trim. A list of the MUGEN partner dealerships will soon be available at www.honda.co.uk

BTCC team launched
The limited edition car also celebrates the launch of Honda’s BTCC team for 2010, continuing its long-standing relationship with Team Dynamics. The team will compete in two Civics – which will feature a similar White and Black colour scheme to the MUGEN 200 cars. More details will be announced before the first race of the season, which is at Thruxton on 4 April.

The Ford Mustang Shelby is a high performance variant of the Ford Mustang, built by Ford from 1968 through 1970. The 1965, 1966 and 1967 Shelbys' were a series of Ford Mustangs which were specially modified by Carroll Shelby's company and sold under the name Shelby GT with identification badges Shelby Cobra. From 1968 the model became the Shelby Cobra GT. The program was factory-sponsored by Ford to compete with the Corvette, also factory-sponsored by Chevrolet, neither of which could be built for the sales price charged. In 2007, following the introduction of the Fifth-generation Ford Mustang the Shelby nameplate was revived for new high performance versions of the Mustang.

Lamborghini super sportscars at 2010 Pirelli

Automobili Lamborghini and Pirelli, once again in partnership: the House of the Raging Bull’s super sportscars were among the luxury vehicles chosen by the tyre manufacturer for the new 2010 Pirelli calendar presentation, which took place last night in London.
A Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce and two Gallardos - an LP 560-4 Spyder and the latest limited edition, rear-wheel drive LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni – chauffeured some of the best known celebrities from music and show business to the event, including English model and socialite Lady Victoria Hervey, and songwriter, singer and twice Brit Award winner James Blunt and his companion. Blunt’s album ‘Back to Bedlam’ has sold 11 million copies worldwide and topped the charts in 18 countries.

For the occasion, all three Lamborghinis sported a special feature: hidden LED lights which, positioned under the wheel arches, illuminated the tyres in homage to the Milan-based tyre company.
The long-standing partnership between Lamborghini and Pirelli, both leaders in the automotive industry, focuses on technologically advanced solutions such as specific tyres to match Lamborghini sportscars’ extreme power and performance.

Extreme Car Modification

Inspiration modification can come from anywhere. Hollywood movies for example, often become the basis for a modifikator to change the look of the car. This car is a car mimic the JGTC Honda NSX, because the owner likes to play the game Gran Turismo.

At first glance, anyone who thought that the car is white with green strip is the Honda Civic in 2005. But the fact it was the origin of the Civic this car. When given a touch of Rosella to the exterior, and mjm for the interior, the Civic now has a better look ‘cool
‘And’ muscular ‘, far from the beginning form.

Nissan has long been a favorite with the modified car fraternity. The performance potential of street cars like the Datsun 510 and the Datsun 240 Z and the iconic Nissan Skyline GT-R saw tuners attempting to eke out the last bit for horsepower from these cars. Today, modified Nissan cars are quite common at the show car events.

Below are some of the hottest modified and custom Nissan cars from various car shows..
